This home met the needs of our yearly family vacation. We had never been to this area before and it was a very relaxing time. The patio pictures looked so inviting, but because of our visit in late July with the humidity high, we did not enjoy any outside time. We had a few hiccups but the host was very responsive and accommodating to our needs. The space definitely matched the photos and description. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked. With the private dock we had water access, which met our boating and fishing expectations. Dining was accessible by water and land, and we had exceptional selections to choose from.

The best thing about these little bungalow style houses is that the bedroom and kitchen are set back from the road & quiet. This house was just fine and functional. Great location / atmosphere. All the houses I’ve stayed in in The Hill remind me of the house I grew up in. Comfy bed too.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We absolutely loved our stay! We booked this Airbnb for a girls’ trip, and it was the perfect place for a fun and relaxing weekend. The unit is absolutely adorable, exactly as pictured, and located in a great area that made getting around easy. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to feel right at home. The hosts were amazing—friendly, incredibly communicative, and always quick to respond. We had a couple of outlets that weren’t working, and they were fantastic about helping us troubleshoot the issue and making sure everything else was perfect. The only thing worth mentioning for future guests is that the walls are a little thin, so you may hear the neighboring units from time to time. We unfortunately had some less-than-ideal neighbors during our stay, but that’s completely outside of the hosts’ control. After quiet hours, we really only noticed the occasional footsteps. Overall, we had such a wonderful experience and truly enjoyed our stay.

Great location easy to get to Target Walmart nightlife for the younger people Bengal Dam there’s a little beach kids swim in it. They’re 23 and I walked to the state park and back but stay there again. Everything was smooth.

We really loved staying here! It was the perfect setup for our family of two adults and two teens. We booked our trip at the last minute, and Joe was able to accommodate us the same day, which we were so thankful for. The best part was being right on the beach. We fell asleep to the sound of the waves every night and enjoyed our morning coffee on the lanai while watching the ocean. The condo had everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen, great AC (which was much needed in late July), a washer and dryer, and lots of beach gear: chairs, large beach towels, boogie board, hard side cooler. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance, and the grocery store is only a few minutes away. The building is older, but it’s well cared for, and the onsite managers were very friendly and welcoming. We’d absolutely stay here again. If you’re looking for a comfortable, true beachfront condo in Kīhei, this is a great choice.

Our party of 8 had an excellent stay at this spacious, well-appointed and luxurious home on the main channel of Lake of the Ozarks. It had everything we needed – plenty of kitchen supplies, plush towels, water toys and help with boat rental. Ample seating and places to make memories – both indoors and in the outdoor spaces. Comfortable beds, board and video games for kids. When an appliance broke down, Joe sent someone over right away to take care of it. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

First off, the neighborhood is darling and the location is very convenient to many of the places we wanted to go. We arrived early evening on a Friday, so parking near the house was a little hard to find, but was understandable considering how many great places there were to walk to in the neighborhood. We did manage to find close parking later in the evening and the rest of our long weekend stay. I wish we’d have had time to go to dinner at some of the delicious looking Italian restaurants in walking distance. We did order pizza from a nearby restaurant that was delicious, as well as grabbing tasty Italian pastries for breakfast. There were a couple minor issues that the host was very responsive about and worked to improve for future visits. We’d definitely stay again and recommend.

Condo was very clean and looks just like the pictures. The kitchen is well stocked, and you can tell the owners take pride in their condo. Towels provided were of good quality, which you don't always find. The provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were very nice and not the cheap stuff. Had one tiny issue one night with the water pressure, and when I contacted the host, he responded right away. It was fixed within minutes; pressure just had to re-build. Will definitely be returning.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary with a 4-day weekend at the Lake Ozark location. The home is welcoming and perfect for a lake get away. It's the last house on the gravel drive which added to the private, cozy feel. The cove is beautiful and the neighborhood is lovely. There is a marina close by for wave runner rental, and we loved having access to the Lowe 26 ft tritoon boat for a Sunday on the water. Beds and linens were comfortable, the bathrooms had plenty of towels, and the kitchen was fully stocked. We enjoyed the view from the decks and kayaking! Joe was an incredible host. He promptly responded to all of our inquiries. We certainly recommend staying at this property to anyone planning a lake adventure!

We had a fantastic time during our stay! The place was incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed and then some, making our family trip to Maui completely stress-free. The host Joe was always available to answer our questions and was wonderfully accommodating. When we realized the original beach chairs had some sun damage and the cooler was broken, Joe immediately went out of their way to deliver brand-new replacements to us. Both check-in and check-out were remarkably smooth. Highly recommend staying here!

This was an incredible place to stay. Joe realized super quickly when we were having trouble locating the property and responded quickly. Good value for splitting between multiple people and amazing amenities! Pool and lake access was great, Neighbors were sweet and welcoming even throughout 4th of July weekend… the busiest at the lake ozarks. The only downside is we did see a bug in the bathroom, which is common, but also not very flattering considering we paid $750 for 2 nights! Besides that we had a terrific time and would come back!

We loved our stay on the Historic Hill! From enjoying coffee on the front porch, bocce at Milo’s, chess in Piazza Imo, walkability to anywhere on the Hill, and wine on the front porch in the evening. My kids loved walking to get gelato, very safe neighborhood. The proximity to downtown and Forest Park was great as well. 15 min drive to stadium and City Museum. Beds were very comfy!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Joe's condo. We loved the beautiful ocean views from the master bedroom, kitchen, and balcony. The master bed was comfortable and the showers had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Kitchen had everything that we needed, but bring your own coffee. The furniture was pretty comfortable in the living and dining room. We really loved sitting on the balcony to eat breakfast or watch the sunset on the lawn. The beach chairs and umbrella provided were so convenient and really nice to have there to use. We appreciated the close, easy walk to the beach and beautiful surroundings.

Wonderful place to stay, located in a neat area of St. Louis. Great bars and restaurants in the area. Conveniently located close to downtown and the arch if you are interested in going there. Awesome interior, very well decorated and clean. We would definitely stay here again if we were in town. Definitely a five star home. I would mention that there two flights of stairs you have to climb, as I'm sure all the homes in that area have. While certainly not a problem for us, if you have any condition that makes stairs difficult for you, you might find another location.

We had the best stay at this lake house. The dock was great and having the option to be able to rent the boat made the trip even better! Boating to local restaurants was so fun and easy. This was our first trip to the Ozarks and we will definitely be back. Joe was so accommodating and quick to respond to any question we had. The house was very cozy and had everything you needed if you stayed in to cook a meal. We spend most of our time outside but the house was equipped with anything you would need for your stay. I would recommend this place anytime!!

Joe and Veronica were fantastic hosts. From the beginning, they were welcoming, responsive, and made me feel comfortable about my stay. The home was clean, well-maintained, and exactly as pictured. The location was very convenient, with plenty of shops, coffee spots, and quaint restaurants within walking distance. One thing to note is that the property is located near the interstate, so there is some traffic noise. However, that’s also part of what makes it such an accessible location. What stood out most was Joe and Veronica’s hospitality and communication. They genuinely seemed to care about making sure I had a great experience. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend this property.

Such a cute place to stay if you have a small group! The host, Joe, was very responsive and sent thorough instructions for check-in and check-out. The view was beautiful and we loved being able to walk right outside to the patio and lake. The Airbnb was clean, stocked with essentials, and felt safe. The only thing I would note is to use Google Maps when finding the Airbnb (which the hosts also noted in instructions) because Apple Maps will direct you to a few buildings down from the actual location. Otherwise, it was a perfect stay!

Despite the recommendations to only park a small vehicle in the gravel lot behind the house, we were able to safely park our full size SUV behind the house and walk to all of our favorite eateries and coffee shops. However, I do understand why parking a larger vehicle behind the house is not recommended as the alleyways leading to it are quite narrow. The beds are extremely comfortable and new. The house is very clean and well kept. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we will return to this house in the near future. Joe responded immediately to any questions that arose, and we did not have any negative issues to report.

This spectacular lake house is tucked down in a beautiful setting at the end of a dead end road, so there was no traffic or road noise to deal with. When you first walk in the front door, the first thing you see is the amazing view of the lake through the massive glass doors and windows. It is a split level with the bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs, and the living area, kitchen, and second bathroom in the lower area. The deck out back was a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the view. There was an incredible dock which was great for fishing and enjoying the breeze off the lake. We did not get a chance to take the pontoon out due to the weather being less than ideal, but the boat looked very clean and spacious. The home itself was clean and well decorated without being cluttered. Comfortable furniture and beds with plenty of space to bring the whole family! We are looking forward to more vacations in the Lake Ozark area, and would love to come back to this same house!

We loved staying on The Hill for our family trip to St. Louis, only a 10 min drive to City Museum, Forest Park (Zoo, etc), the original Ted Drewe's on Chippewa... and of course right around the corner from the Piazza, gelato and great Italian restaurants. The playground at Berra Park is just a short walk away and great for the kids too. Our kids now want to live on The Hill, so let us know when you want to sell your house, okay Joe? (;

The weather was wonderful, so we spent a lot of time outside on the deck and on the dock fishing - although we didn’t use the boats or kayaks, the outside place is amazing! The house was just as described and it has plenty of room. Right at the end of the road, the location of the house was great too. It’s on a really nice part of the lake too, great views, deep clear water and the boat traffic was not overwhelming like it is on some parts of the lake. Joe was very responsive throughout our stay, he would respond within minutes to any questions we had. We had an outstanding time staying here and this place will definitely be on our return list - Thanks Joe!

Stay here for the view! The near oceanfront lanai is the most enticing aspect of this otherwise “vacation rental classic” condo. We had a hard time prying ourselves away from the outdoor space, from which whales were clearly visible in the morning and the afternoon (we came in February, peak whale season.) The unit is located near several shops, bars, and restaurants, which made it ideal for us, and the adjacent beach is beautiful. The condo has everything we needed to be comfortable, including fast wi-fi and good a/c. We did have a couple of very minor hiccups, but the owner was responsive and everything was cleared up quickly. I will warn drivers that the parking is ample, but tight for any vehicle larger than a compact sedan. And to echo other reviews, the bedrooms are not well insulated, and the street noise was near constant. So if you are a lite sleeper, bring your earplugs. But it’s worth it! Would and will stay here again!

Hi, I’m the founder of JAL Vacation Rentals. I started this business with a simple goal—to create comfortable, well-designed spaces where people can relax, recharge, and make lasting memories.

 

My wife Ashley and I run JAL together, and as a family with three kids, we share a love for traveling and exploring new places. That perspective shapes everything we do—we aim to create stays that we ourselves would be excited to book and enjoy.
